Could Painful Dentist Visits Be a Thing of the Past?

Friday, January 27th, 2012

We all know that using the best electric toothbrush that you possibly can is a great help in the fight against plaque. However, problems still do occur, and some people find it very hard to overcome their fear of the dentist. The main problem which causes most people to fear dental treatment is the fact that even a minor check up and cleaning will involve some level of pain.

However, this pain could soon be a thing of the past thanks to a miraculous new invention called the Plasma Brush. Developed at the University of Missouri, the plasma brush can hollow out a tooth without even physically entering it. What this means for the patient is that there is absolutely no pain; the plasma brush can hollow out the tooth in around 30 seconds, and does so simply by resting on the tooth which requires treatment. Trails of the plasma brush are continuing in 2012, so hopefully it won’t be too long until you can kiss goodbye to your fear of the dentist

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

Did you get your spine checked today? If you are asking yourself why you need to be getting your spine checked, then you are the person I am writing this article for.

I am a San Diego Chiropractic doctor and my goal is to educate my patients on the benefits of regular Chiropractic care. From the day you are born to the age you are currently you have experienced many stressors in your life. There are three main stressors that I talk about on a regular basis in my office. These stressors are physical, chemical, and emotional stressors. A physical stress is the easiest to understand. These stressors fall under the category of some sort of trauma; a car accident, a fall, sports injury, poor posture, lifting improperly, and sitting at desk for multiple hours just to name a few. A chemical stressor is from specific chemical for example; drinking multiple sodas, medications, the air in the environment, and chemicals in your food. Emotional stressors are like; job stress, financial stress, and relationship stress.

These stressors can create malfunction in your body. When the body malfunctions it is the job of the Chiropractor to detect and correct these regions in the body. By removing these areas the nervous system will be restored to normal function and the body.

So why aren’t you seeing a Chiropractor regularly unless you live in a bubble you need to be evaluated by a Chiropractor. Pick up the phone and give our office a call or call another office here in San Diego.

The Gemstone of Royalty: the Amethyst

Friday, October 14th, 2011

Wondering why the amethyst is looked on to as the gemstone of royalty? Well, one would just have to look at its deep purple color. It even has a romantic side to it, because for some reason, the amethyst also have a rosy aura around it as well. These properties make the amethyst fitting as the birthstone for those born during the love month, the month of February.

One wonderful thing about the amethyst is that unlike many other gemstones which sport a different color when found, this stone already has its characteristic purple color upon discovery. Many times, miners would discover them as crusts of crystals on rocks. But of course, for the amethyst’s famous color to look deeper, it needs to undergo treatment, more commonly in the form of heat, which is administered by expert jewelers.

This luxurious stone is best worn on a necklace, moreso if it is on a choker, so its beauty will be highlighted on the piece. Amethysts are also great on rings as well as on pins.

That’s What Friends Are Not for

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

My friends and I have very different interests and our individual ideas of what is important vary drastically. Like for me for instance, my family is most important. Their safety and health is what I pay close attention to. Now my friends on the other hand focus more on things like the latest news in fashion or dieting. That is what their whole life revolves around, not that I am judging, but we are just so different it is very weird to me how we can still be friends. Last week we went to eat out and they talked for hours and hours about how much money they spent on clothes, handbags and shoes. I guess they keep me up to date with the times, where as I interrupted them to talk about my beautiful family. Now that to me is something to brag about. I find them to be priceless assets to my life.

Having That Special Bond with a Friend

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

Having a girl as your girlfriend is really like having another sister. I have one sister and I love her very much, but she and I will never be as close as I am with my two best girlfriends. We have grown up together and shared so many wonderful times in our lives. We have also shared the hard times too. Both of my best friends lost babies due to miscarriages early in their marriages and they were so devastated and heartbroken. I tried to be there in any way I could. My one best friend went through a horrible divorce and I went and stayed with her for a month to help her get her own her feet. This is what you do, when you have girlfriends. You are there for them through thick and thin. This is a bond that most men don’t understand really until they get married and their spouse becomes this person for them.

Preserving and Making Sure Artworks and Photos Will Last

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Being ‘framed up’ may seem to be an indication that an individual is in a not-so-good scenario or situation. On the other hand, if this occurrence will happen with a photograph or a painting, these items will definitely love the very idea of being in a frame. An item or a thing that intends to protect, display and enhance a picture or a painting is referred to as frame or a picture frame.

A fully developed or printed picture or a painting in a canvas may look good as is but placing these items in frames may give them the necessary elegance and protection as well. These frames take away the ‘lousiness’ in these captured moments or created works of art since these casings give boundaries that improves their overall aesthetic values. The augmentation this artistic presence can be supplied by the frame’s materials and substances as well.

Generally speaking, frames are commercially availably in rectangular or square-shaped in terms of their forms; nonetheless, oval and circular frames are also very common. Nevertheless, contemporary frame makers have been proven to be more creative by literally ‘thinking outside the box’ or the usual shapes of the frames by commercially introducing different shapes and sizes such as heart-shaped frames and the like. Sizes also determine the standard of selling them in the market.
